BioCel^TM Laminate, BioCel™ Laminate Plus, BioCel™ Cushion, LXT-18, and LXF-24 high-performance, eco-friendly carpet backings are recommended for high and mid-range traffic environments including: Government, Commercial, Education, Retail and Synthetic Turf applications.

BioCel™ backings contain polymers produced from natural oils, a rapidly renewable resource, that replaces a portion of the petroleum-based polymers.

BioCel™ carpet backings qualify under the USDA BioPreferred federal purchasing program. BioCel™ is third-party certified and in addition to the soybeans and Celceram, recycled PET plastic is incorporated into our backing systems. PET plastic is a resin recycled from soft drink, water and juice bottles. It is identified by the #1 code on or near the bottom.

Architects and designers can utilize synthetic turf and carpet backed with Universal Textile Technologies’ BioCel Polyurethane cushion to contribute up to 18 points toward LEED® certification in commercial, industrial and residential projects.
